Opened in 2020.
Still can't be closed.

The Last Tab, TLT. Somewhere in the pit, someone drew a bull on the board and forgot to erase the tab next to it. Every close attempt since has been logged, not honored.

Status Strip

Nobody on the desk remembers who opened it. The chalk got smudged and redrawn so many times the board has a permanent grey halo where the tab sits. These four numbers are the only honest part of the whole pit.

The X (hard outline, harder to hit)

One accent button, drawn in a hard chalk outline like the rest of the board. It looks closeable. It is not. Hover it and it slides a few pixels first, a courtesy warning. Click it and it dodges, clones a decoy tab, or snaps back with a smug little shake, like it's laughing at your aim.

The Log Keeps Receipts

Every miss gets written down, deadpan, in the margin of the board. Nobody erases the log, that would be admitting something. Go on, try the X again. It's keeping count so you don't have to.

Canvas, not chrome

The whole thing lives on the slate: a trading-pit board, a brass bull who's seen every close attempt and hasn't blinked, chalk math nobody checks anymore. Erasures pile up as texture, not tidy-up. The motion stays small on purpose, a jitter here, a tick there, the tab breathing like it's still running a process nobody started.
